Our goal is to make learning fun and easy for the new student, to help the competitive student win, the performer shine, and to make the wedding couple's guests ooooh and aaaah!
Fred Astaire Dance Studio began in 1947 when Mr. Astaire, considered the greatest multitalented dancer of all time, personally developed a practical, interrelated dance curriculum for the first Fred Astaire Dance Studio on New York City's Park Avenue.
Today, the Fred Astaire Dance Studio team is comprised of dance champions, registered adjudicators, and highly certififed instructors who study and review our curriculum to ensure that the dance programs and instruction are the finest and most up-to-date for the novice, intermediate, and advanced dancer.
Fred Astaire Dance Studio of Winston Salem was established in 1993. Jeff and Paige Trent became owners in 1998 and in 2006, moved the studio location to Clemmons where they now enjoy a facility with over 2000sf of dance floor, a comfortable living room, and a convenient location right off Hwy 40.
